This is the third video from the documentary and a follow up to the classic “Stand By Me” and the incredible “Don’t Worry.” Released in celebration of Bob Marley’s birthday on February 6th, this tribute to the legend is performed by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it traveled the globe.

This is what this blog’s all about.Composer/musician Paul “Ubertar” Rubenstein teaches New York kids how to build one-string guitars, and play in African and Indonesian-inspired scales. Here is a great track from “Rough Guide to the Music of the Sahara (2005)”. The compilation contains a handful of other southern Moroccan guitar groups like the Sublime Frequency superstars, as well as some great stuff from neighboring Mauritania and the rest of the Sahrawi territory region. These compilations are certainly very rough places to start, but that’s all you can really ask for when they are titled as such. Great sample source for Babalao tracks! (via davequam.blogspot.com)
